Few decisions, made on a website, are larger than the one a reader makes in this section. The catalogue gathers the sites of estate agents, lettings houses, property developers, surveyors, conveyancers and the small specialist practices that move people between addresses.
Margin lists the houses; it does not negotiate the contracts. A listed agent has not been audited by the magazine, and the reader is expected to seek their own searches, surveys and legal counsel before committing to a deposit.
A listing costs nothing. A village agent and a national chain are written up with the same restraint. The point is the address; the visiting and the dealing are the reader’s own.
